STRONGER TOGETHER:

Protecting the Jewish Community in Central NC

In partnership with the Secure Community Network (SCN), the Greensboro Jewish Federation proudly participates in a Community-Wide Security Program dedicated to safeguarding the Jewish community across Central North Carolina. This collaborative initiative fosters a culture of empowerment, teamwork, and vigilance — ensuring that every Jewish organization operates with the highest standards of safety and security.

Together, we are building a stronger, safer future for our community.

THE SECURE COMMUNITY NETWORK

The Secure Community Network (SCN), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit, is the official safety and security organization for North America's Jewish community. Established in 2004, SCN represents over 50 national Jewish organizations, 146 Federations, and more than 300 independent communities. It partners with public, private, nonprofit, and academic sectors to ensure the safety, security, and resilience of the Jewish people.

As the Jewish community’s official liaison to federal law enforcement, SCN collaborates with federal, state, and local authorities on security issues. Through its 24/7/365 Jewish Security Operations Command Center, SCN monitors and analyzes intelligence, sharing credible threat information with law enforcement and community partners.

SCN’s team of experts develops strategic safety frameworks, conducts facility assessments, and provides training, security consultations, and crisis response. By offering best-practice policies, emergency planning, and real-world exercises, SCN empowers communities to address security challenges and respond effectively to critical events.
