Facilities Assistant at Temple Emanuel

Temple Emanuel 1129 Jefferson Road, Greensboro NC

Work Location:
100% on-site position, in Greensboro, NC, primarily at Temple Emanuel, 1129 Jefferson Road and, as needed at the 713 North Greene Street Campus and the Greensboro Hebrew Cemetery, 2911 W. Gate City Blvd.

Work Schedule:
Flexible schedule based on events and activities. Expected to average 25-30 hours per week and availability required for evening and weekend events.

Responsibilities:
Perform walk-throughs to ensure all areas are clean, safe and well-maintained.
Perform general repairs, upkeep and maintenance as needed.
Proactive in setting up and breaking down events & meetings.
Perform light housekeeping activities as needed.
Other facility-related projects and duties as they arise.
Desired Skills & Experience:
Prior experience in facilities, construction or maintenance.
Prior experience in basic carpentry repairs and painting.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, strong teamwork.
Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks based on urgency.
Computer and administrative, record keeping skills – Microsoft Office
Flexibility to work varying hours and days as needed.
Working Conditions & Physical Demands:
Frequently lifting up to 50lbs (tables/chairs for events, equipment, supplies & deliveries).
Frequently kneeling, bending at waist and reaching overhead.
Comfortable with heights of up to 30 ft on ladders.
Comfortable climbing stairs and safely carrying objects.
