In the children’s book Rebecca’s Journey Home, an American family’s international adoption experience illuminates Jewish identity’s relationship to issues of race, religion, and nationality. Amanda Mbuvi, Assistant Professor of Religion at High Point University, will explore the Jewish tradition’s potential for reimagining belonging in ways that transcend the limitations of American racial logic, so that any body can be seen as a Jewish body.
