Professor Susannah Heschel will speak about the friendship and shared vision of the Rev. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. and her father, Rabbi Dr. Abraham Joshua Heschel. The relationship between Abraham Joshua Heschel and Martin Luther King was a close friendship as well as a relationship of colleagues working together as political activists in the civil rights movement and in opposition to the war in Vietnam.
