Join the American Hebrew Academy for this community event called S.T.E.A.M. Powered. It is a fun-filled family event for all ages. This year, Academy CIO Jason Epstein created a unique event called S.T.E.A.M. Powered which will bring together and highlight all facets of the courses which make up STEAM at the Academy. Our students’ contributions will be showcased and the Greensboro community is cordially invited to spend a day on campus having fun exploring Science, Technology, Engineering, the Arts, and Mathematics.
Some of the area’s leading STEAM contributors have been invited to demonstrate and provide hands-on activities for all ages that will give attendees a chance to be S.T.E.A.M Powered! Central to the event will be the Academy’s Robotics team scrimmaging and collaborating with other local robotics teams. Student art and classroom projects will be on display as well! Although art is typically excluded from S.T.E.M., the American Hebrew Academy values the creativity that the arts bring to the otherwise logical and rules-based methods found in S.T.E.M. This creativity allows us to think about S.T.E.M. in new and innovative ways. We hope this event will continue to foster our students’ interest in these subject areas and give our community an opportunity to see how the Academy enhances educational excellence.
