This session will engage participants in examining and discussing several categories of Holocaust art. Participants will learn how to see and interpret pieces of Holocaust art, and then discuss personal reactions to each piece through class discussion.

Karen Dresser earned her Ph.D. at UNC-Greensboro, and her Masters of Divinity at Wake Forest University. She has taught and tutored at Temple Emanuel, Beth David Synagogue, B’nai Shalom Day School, and formerly at American Hebrew Academy and The School of Divinity at Wake Forest University as an adjunct professor. Karen currently teaches part-time (Jewish Studies, Art, Theatre, Writing), and is an artist, singer, songwriter, playwright, director and cantorial soloist. Her ritual art can be seen in various universities, synagogues, churches and Islamic Centers in the US and in private homes worldwide.
