I am... Fabulous. Sometimes it can be challenging to define who you are in a community. Maybe you had kids, but they are grown ups now. You are older, but not OLD. You are married or single, like to engage and get involved, and are at the peak of pursuing your own destiny-- so why is it so hard to just discover being AN ADULT in a community? The Greensboro Jewish Federation has many opportunities to explore who you are as an individual, an adult, and as a Jew.
Federation supports greater awareness of our Jewish identity and participation in life and learning. Federation works to promote Jewish identity and participation for generations to come; we support programs and opportunities for involvement at all ages.
It's also important to know that Jewish Family Services offers counseling for individuals, support for caregivers, information and referral, emergency client assistance as well as many other supports.
The Greensboro Jewish Federation is a network for meaningful philanthropy and hands-on volunteerism by translating Jewish values into social action on behalf of millions. Our affinity groups and campaign divisions give you a place to explore your interests, meet others, have fun, and make a difference in the world through your actions.
Perhaps your professional is your current driving force. We encourage you to explore our affinity groups, including the Maimonides Society for healthcare profession and the Cardozo Society for people in the legal field. These groups get together throughout the year to explore interesting topics, network with colleagues, and discover a little bit of Jewish engagement in aspects of their field.
Another way to get involved with your peers is through the Women's Philanthropy Division and Men's Division. The Greensboro Jewish Federation offers ways for adults of all ages and affiliations to connect to Greensboro's Jewish community through leadership development, social action, and philanthropic opportunities. To get involved, please contact Emily Gray or call 852-5433, ext. 237.
Members of our community look forward to the annual film festival as a way to gather with friends, support the community, and enjoy quality entertainment. The Triad Jewish Film Festival (TJFF) is a 6-day cinematic exploration of identity, history and culture, as well as life in the State of Israel. Seeking to use the power of film to both entertain and educate, TJFF challenges conventional perspectives on complex and challenging issues facing both the Jewish and global communities.
Founded in 2001, TJFF continually sells out year after year and is a beloved annual community event. The TJFF will feature an international collection of 6 narrative and documentary films that explore the Jewish experience. Screenings are supplemented by guest appearances with filmmakers, actors, authors, academics and other expert speakers. For more information or to purchase tickets.

Jewish Federation Missions are travel experiences unlike any other. Join us as we explore the past, present and future of the Jewish people in locations as diverse as Israel, Poland, Latin America and the former Soviet Union. What makes each mission truly unique is its sense of purpose, guaranteeing our travelers a heightened appreciation and connection to their Jewish identity.
Our missions aren't passive experiences. They're active adventures, engaging the mind, heart, soul, and body. We'll explore local communities and their histories while traveling by jeep, boat, plane, and foot to make up-close and personal contact with the many marvels of Jewish existence. You'll witness firsthand the extraordinary efforts of organizations like the Joint Distribution Committee and the Jewish Agency for Israel while discovering and responding to the challenges facing Jewish communities today.
