Federation was in Melanie's blood, but it wasn't until her Birthright trip that she truly understood the value of Federation work.
The new Greensboro Federation Leadership Institute (G-FLI) is designed to engage the next generation of the Greensboro Jewish community. The G-FLI, which will provide leadership development through a Jewish lens, will be highlighted by immersive experiential education combined with active learning in an effort to strengthen our Greensboro Jewish Community.
This 18-month opportunity will help emerging leaders identify and develop their leadership styles, expose them to a myriad of leadership opportunities within the Greensboro Jewish Federation, and explore Judaism in a unique and creative way. Each participant will be paired with a mentor. Mentorship is a critical piece in leadership development and continuity in our community. The Greensboro Jewish Federation strives to integrate leadership opportunities into our community in order to achieve our mission.
G-FLI grows from the history of the Greensboro Jewish Community, connects and discovers leaders, and builds upon the foundations community created by past leadership.
For more information on the program and participating in G-FLI, as a new leader or mentor, contact Carly Dunno, (336) 852-5433 x243.
The Greensboro Jewish Federation works to provide a portal for Jewish young adults to connect to the Greensboro Jewish community, through leadership development, targeted social, cultural, and social action programs. The goal is to identify and educate young adults so that they may become more active members of the Jewish community, as future leaders and philanthropists. The Jewish Federation works to engage young professionals, and families with young children, to build a more involved Jewish community through outreach, social and cultural programming, Jewish education, and community service.
J Triad is a Jewish group for young adults in the Triad area. J Triad was envisioned as one large, inviting community offering a truly fun and meaningful Jewish experience. Our programming focuses on Jewish, Social, Tikkun Olam and Educational opportunities.
J Triad is supported equally by Beth David Synagogue, Greensboro Jewish Federation, Temple Emanuel of Greensboro, and Temple Emanuel of Winston-Salem, and run by a small committee of dedicated community members. J Triad strives to enrich the Jewish experience among young adults in the Piedmont Triad area by providing a full range of interesting, engaging events. In short, J Triad brings people together and provides a space for young adults to just “be Jewish.” If you’re interested in becoming involved in J Triad, join our Facebook Group..
