Learn About Donations

There are many ways to make a donation through the Greensboro Jewish Federation and our agencies. Every year, the Federation provides generous allocations to support local, national, and international organizations and community activities.

Humanitarian support for Jews around the world is also a core value of the Federation. Through partner agencies, Jewish Federations of North America (JFNA), The Jewish Agency for Israel (JAFI), and the American Jewish Joint Distribution Committee (JDC), and World ORT Greensboro stands strong as a Jewish community nationally and touches Jewish lives around the globe.

Your tax-deductible donations help support the Jewish people locally and globally, financially, emotionally, physically and spiritually. We encourage you to not only contribute, but get involved in our active and dynamic community.

Thanks to the generosity of our donors, the Greensboro Jewish Federation makes a difference in the lives near and far. We continue to work to repair the world and to keep Jewish life thriving, and we could not do it without support from people like you. It is both a privilege and a responsibility to repair our world and strengthen Jewish life. Please join us by making a gift to our Annual Campaign. Together, we put into action our shared values of tzedakah, generosity and compassion. Together, we do extraordinary things. CLICK HERE to donate to the 2017 Annual Campaign.

Ways To Give Through Jewish Family Services

There are many ways to contribute to Jewish Family Services—with time, your willingness to volunteer, or your dollars.

Client Assistance Fund

The Client Assistance Fund enables JFS to maintain a community food pantry and helps cover emergency situations. Monetary contributions, food and gift cards are always appreciated. Clothing and small household items are accepted on behalf of Goodwill in conjunction with their store voucher program.

Van Donation Fund

The JFS Van transports our seniors or disabled adults to doctor appointments, shopping trips, religious services and to social and educational programs. While there is a charge for the van, contributions help us keep the van running. If you need to schedule a van ride, call 852-4829, ext. 222.

Indigent Burial Fund

The Greensboro community created an indigent burial fund to fulfill the mitzvah of assuring every Jew a dignified funeral. This is one of the highest forms of tzedakah. Contact JFS to make a donation or if you know someone who has no family and needs this assistance.

Phyllis K. Jerome Fund

The Phyllis K. Jerome Fund for Children and Families was established to provide assistance for medical or therapeutic purposes. A gift to this fund is always meaningful. Contact Betsy Gamburg at 336-852-4829 ext. 225, if there is a critical unmet health need in your family.
