The 2025 Triad Jewish Film Festival is Here!

Six Films.
Two Venues.
One Unforgettable Celebration of Jewish Cinema.

The Greensboro Jewish Federation is thrilled to announce the return of the Triad Jewish Film Festival, bringing the community together for a fully in-person cinematic experience. From January 26 through February 6, film lovers will gather to enjoy six extraordinary films that spotlight the richness of Israeli and Jewish stories.

Screenings will take place at two premier venues:

  • Virginia Somerville Sutton Theatre at Well-Spring (January 26, 28, and 30)
  • Golden Ticket Cinemas (February 2, 4, and 6)

 

Whether you're a history buff, a comedy enthusiast, or a fan of gripping documentaries, this year’s lineup has something for everyone.

2025 Film Lineup Highlights

  • Triumph of Hope (Documentary, 55 min)
    Sunday, January 26 | 4 p.m. | Theatre at Well-Spring
    Followed by a talk-back session with producer Lori Strauss and Holocaust survivors Helga Morrow and Regine Archer.
    Synopsis: An inspiring journey through the resilience of Holocaust survivors who were hidden children during World War II.
  • Yaniv (Comedy/Drama, 85 min)
    Tuesday, January 28 | 7 p.m. | Theatre at Well-Spring
    Synopsis: A high school teacher and his colleague scheme to save their school’s musical funding, leading to unforeseen chaos in the Hasidic card-playing community.
  • Colleyville (Documentary, 80 min)
    Thursday, January 30 | 7 p.m. | Theatre at Well-Spring
    Followed by a talk-back with Rabbi Charlie Cytron-Walker.
    Synopsis: A heart-pounding exploration of the 11-hour hostage crisis at Congregation Beth Israel and the courage that captured the world’s attention.
  • Bad Shabbos (Comedy/Drama, 84 min)
    Sunday, February 2 | 4 p.m. | Golden Ticket Cinemas
    Synopsis: A Shabbat dinner spirals hilariously out of control, blending chaos and tradition in this award-winning comedy.
  • Iron Ladies (Documentary, 51 min)
    Tuesday, February 4 | 7 p.m. | Golden Ticket Cinemas
    Synopsis: The untold story of Jewish women who defied the USSR to secure freedom for Soviet Jews during the Cold War.
  • Guns & Moses (Crime/Thriller, 94 min)
    Thursday, February 6 | 7 p.m. | Golden Ticket Cinemas
    Synopsis: A small-town rabbi becomes an unlikely detective and gunslinger to protect his congregation in this gripping thriller.
