Triad Jewish Film Festival Presents: Moos

It’s the first night of Hanukkah evening and everything is the way it’s always been for Moos, who stayed in her hometown to take care of her father after her mother’s passing. But when her longtime childhood friend Sam arrives as a surprise guest from Israel, Moos gets the jolt she needed to examine her life and the choices she’s made. With Sam back, Moos realizes that she’s put her life on hold to take care of others, and she needs to follow her own dreams before it’s too late.

Taking everyone by surprise, Moos decides to audition for the local academy of performing arts. After a devastating initial audition, Moos quickly learns that she has a lot of work to do. Telling secrets to keep up her facade, Moos struggles to stay grounded in the face of a changing family, her search for love, and chasing her dream. MOOS is an inspiring story of a young girl’s search to find her voice and, in the process, herself.
