The Israel Experience Committee works to promote Israel programs for teens and college students in our community as well as securing funding through grants and scholarship funds so that all Jewish youth in Greensboro who are interested may have an Israel Experience. The Greensboro Jewish Federation has a long standing commitment to fostering the development of Jewish identity in teens. We feel that each young person should have an opportunity from our community to visit Israel and we make that happen! Jewish Historical Seminars
Have you ever wanted to travel to Jewish sites around the world in the company of scholars and other interesting people as you learn about our culture and history? If so, you may be interested in Jewish Historical Seminars, operated by friends of ours from our sister-city, Har Adar. Jewish Historical Seminars offers a series of old and modern synagogues, Jewish quarters, cemeteries, archives and libraries. A Hebrew University professor of Jewish Studies lectures daily.
