Our Greensboro Jewish Federation Annual Campaign for Funds
is based upon our centuries – old connection to the Jewish people

Kol Yisrael Arevim Zeh B’Zeh – All Jews are Responsible One for the Other – We provide essential human services like crisis intervention, counseling, transportation, friendly visitors and services for the elderly here in Greensboro through Jewish Family Services.  Around the globe through the JDC, we take care of our extended family providing food, clothing, medication, heat in the winter and home care visits in over 65 countries.  We sponsor the Beltsy Summer Family Camp, we built the Beltsy JCC, and we send medical missions through Jewish Healthcare International. Our sister city in Har Adar, Israel partnered with us this summer in Beltsy completing the circle of connections.

Pidyon Sh’vuyim – Redeeming the captives, and the In-Gathering of the Exiles – We promote aliyah to Israel and bring new immigrants to Israel through the Jewish Agency For Israel. We care for them upon arrival with new jobs, education, language training and related health and welfare services.

Shema Yisrael - You shall Teach Them Diligently Unto Your Children – The importance of Jewish Education can not be understated:  B’nai Shalom Day School, Greensboro Jewish Community Summer Camper Incentive Program, Israel Experiences for high school, college students and adults, need-based camp and Israel program scholarships, Interest-Free College loans, Leadership Development programs and Visiting Scholars are some of the many educational opportunities our Federation fosters.

Outreach in our community – We play a strong role in promoting the Jewish presence in our local and statewide Jewish community and in the community-at-large through North Carolina Hillel, Interfaith Missions to Israel, Holocaust commemorations, ShalomGreensboro: The Federation News, The Greensboro Interfaith Learning & Dialogue Partnership, The Simcha Youth Choir, and the Triad Jewish Film Festival.

Tikkun Olam – Our annual campaign supports projects and institutions which make a difference in the world today.  The Jewish Foundation of Greensboro creates permanent endowments to ensure the ongoing strength of our local Jewish community for generations to come.  Our Community Enrichment Fund assists local communal agencies for the betterment of the total Greensboro community.  We conduct special campaigns and mobilizations like Haiti Earthquake Relief, assisting communities and individuals in need.  We are deeply involved in the repair of the world.

Please consider an increase of $365 (1/day) or a 10% increase to the 2010 Annual Campaign
and a separate contribution to the Operation Promise Campaign.
