FEDERATION SERVICES

Core Administrative Services
To fulfill the Federation's mission of caring for thsoe in need, rescuing those in harm's way and renewing and strengthening the Jewish people in Greensboro, in Israel and around the world, Federation: 1) Provides funding, staff support and supervision of all Federation activities, grants, scholarships, the Jewish Foundation of Greensboro, Jewish Family Services, Women's Cabinet, Federation communications and Jewish Community High School. 2) Conducts the annual men's and women's campaigns as well as all federation events such as telethons, kickoff event snwobird event, overseas missions to Israel, Eastern Europe and other countries of the former Soviet Union.

In addition, the Federation advocates for the Jewish community, convenes the Leadership Roundtable comprised of the lay and professional leaders of each Greensboro Jewish community organization and institution, is the "keeper" of the community calendar, coordinates helath, life and dental insruance for area institutions, sends a weekly "happenings" newsletter to the local Jewish community, maintains and updaes the entire Jewish community database, provides free labels (and mailings) for local Jewish community institutions, provides free storage space and rental offices to local Jewsih communal agencies, prints Shalom Greensboro for newcomers and plans and convenes the annual newcomer event, as well as the Joint Women's Opening event, and participates in meetings and programs with other North Carolina and North America Federations.
